APPLICATION CALL:

MIKKRO FILM FESTIVAL, will be held for three days, from 22th - 24th October 2009 in Murska Sobota. Beside the central programme, educational events. international networking and other cultural events will also take place.
MIKK, which is the main organizer of the festival, has been supporting the development of video and film production in Pomurje for a few years now. The main goal of the festival is to present original ideas from international and domestic filmmakers and at the same time to create a creative place for an intercultural film dialog.

The festival is due to objective reasons shortened to one main category ( Best short film) and one special category (Junior film)
The festival will be held in the facilities of the youth centre MIKK, located in a beautiful medieval castle, situated in the centre of the city park. These facilities will offer its premises and services for various film and side events during the duration of the festival.
There will be retrospectives from various international short film festivals, an open festival bar and a daily quality concert program. beside the competition part of the festival.

18.00 – Retrospective: Award winning movies of the  Macedonian Osfaf film festival
21.00 – Concert : Ampersand/Germany and Waines/Italy

13.30 – Projections main competition category “Best Short Film of the MIKKROFILM festival”
