Rules and regulations

Competition rules:

  • The 4th digital photography competition is organized by the MIKK youth club (Mladinski informativni in kulturni klub Murska Sobota) in cooperation with the Photography Club Murska Sobota (FK Murska Sobota).  The competition is open for photographers from Slovenia and abroad.

Competition theme: DIGITAL ABSTRACTION

  • Every author can participate with up to 4 works of art, which are either photographed digitally or in analogue technique with subsequent digitalization. The photos must be 1024 pixels in width (obligatory) and up to 768 pixels in height and in JPEG format. There is no limitation with regard to digital manipulation of the photos.
  • Submission of the photos is only possible in digital form either on CD or via e-mail to dominik.steiner@mikk-ms.si. CDs will not be returned.
  • Files shall be named after the following pattern: Surname of author_name of author_running number of work_name of work.

            (NOVAK_JANEZ_1_SOŽITJE).

  • A filled out application form and proof of paid application fee of 5,00 € need to be enclosed with the sent works. The application fee is to be paid to the current account of MIKK No. 01280-6033233588 at the BANKA SLOVENIJA, UJP MURSKA SOBOTA. For group applications of at least 5 authors an allowance of 20% applies (respectively 4,00 per applicant).
  • All works of will be assessed by a  jury consisting of:
    • mag. Dominik ŠTEINER, manager MIKK
    • Miran Rojko, chairman FK Murska Sobota
    • Mirko Rajnar, academic painter

           The decisions of the jury are final. Appeals will not be possible.

  • With sending his contribution the author agrees to the terms of the competition and acknowledges his responsibility as the originator of the works sent. Authors who did not pay the application fee will not be assessed; the works sent will be discarded. With the participation the author agrees to the use of the photos exclusively for promotion of the competition and exhibition.

  • There will be eight prizes presented, first, second and third award, and five diplomas.  Winners of the first three awards will also get practical prizes.
  • All participants receive a catalogue of the exhibition on CD.
